WildCards

WILDCARDS are a great tool to use when you are learning the identification, attributes & uses of Wild Foods. You will find the majority of the plants in all 50 states, and, indeed, most of the world. A few are unique to the East or the West United States.

The cards contain material that might be invaluable in dealing with an unexpected emergency or survival situation where knowledge of edible wild plants could save your life.

This is a deck of 52 cards. On the front of each card is a beautiful color photograph of an edible wild plant, a thumbnail drawing of the plant by Linda, and a map of the plant's US & Canadian habitats.

On the back of each card is vital information, including botanical names, common aliases, safety data, the edible parts and their various uses, plant characteristics, & hints for food preparation. The backs also have standard playing card markings so they may be used as a regular deck of cards. WILDCARDS fit easily in a pocket or backpack. They can also be used as flash cards, enabling one to immediately spot this food in the wild. Soon, you will see it everywhere!
